GAYLORD — Dana Bensinger has been selected for the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce 2018 Chairman’s award by Tim Granahan, outgoing chairman.
Bensinger has served on the Chamber board since 2014, and during that time she has been an integral part in helping write a strategic plan, implementing policies and procedures and bringing to the table many nonprofit best practices.
She has been an advocate for the Chamber in many ways and facilitated strategic planning sessions and helped Taylar Akin, Chamber executive director, foster new relationships within the community. In her time on the Chamber board, she was the chair of the strategic planning committee, served on the Leadership Otsego County Committee, facilitated a Leadership Otsego County module and was the secretary of the board of directors in her last year. She always went above and beyond the call of duty and set a great example for all of the board members by demonstrating strong leadership skills.
The Great Gatsby Chamber Awards will take place Thursday, Jan. 24, at Otsego Resort, and the event is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, ITC, Accident Fund, Go North Properties, and Eagle Radio.
